How would the biblical books be written and what would the world be like today if things did not develop as we all know, but in the following way?

The Philistines of Goliath greatly harassed the tribe of Israelites. They ravaged his lands, killed his sons, maligned his daughters.
And David said to the chiefs of the friendly tribes:
- I have to deal with Goliath, because we can not stand it anymore, he destroys our lives, offends our honor. Help me, give me the best sling you can find!!
And the chiefs of these tribes looked at each other in fear and jumped up as if stung:
- What? The sling is an offensive weapon! It is better to get along with Goliath somehow, let us pay him what he wants, because he is very strong and can bring great misfortunes to us all!
They never gave David the best sling they had.

Later they drank for a long time and commemorated David with a kind word. True, Goliath defeated him, destroyed him, ruined his tribe – killed men, took women as concubines, and captured children as slaves.
But the most important thing was that the trade of the chiefs with Goliath was growing.
Everything else was not so important.
