As one analyst put it, this gang tried precisely as a typical Russian organized crime group to do what gangster organized crime groups in Russia have been doing consistently for more than three decades - a raider seizure (takeover of a someone’s company by criminal methods).
When the raider seizure failed, step two of the criminal arsenal of the Russian OCG followed – to destroy the company by robbing, blowing up, setting fire to the company and beating up its employees.
