– a whole department in the Russian embassy tracking media and social networks (and as a result, targeting and sentencing those who speak most against Russia);
– deep penetration of Russia-serving local agents into our intelligence, defense, police, and civil protection systems;
– the vile readiness of statesmen and politicians in top positions to constantly share supposed “secrets” of Bulgarian security and foreign policy with Russian diplomats…
All this gives Putin a clear picture: Bulgaria is the most corroded by pro-Russian and pro-Putinism within NATO.
That’s why the provocation against Bulgaria will likely not be just drones, but of another sort — an explosion at a military plant, a bloody train accident with military goods, a violent act in a crowded place, or actions carried out by pro-Russian proxies disguised as Europeans or NATO personnel — in order to demonize NATO and/or the EU.
As I said — it will be done to panic our people, to make them want “friendship with Putin’s Russia,” not to provoke or anger it. And our politicians will massively turn into Chamberlains. Especially GERB. Their mentality is exactly that. There is nothing uglier for Bulgaria than the combination of open Chamberlainism in foreign policy and open corruption in domestic politics.
Europe must wake up!
If Trump interrupts talks with European leaders to go coo with Putin — European leaders must immediately stand up and leave!
If Trump sends Whitkoff to talk to them — they must refuse to meet this vile creature and caricature altogether.
If Trump writes that drones “accidentally” flew over Poland — European leaders must respond with a single, categorical position: stop writing and speaking pro-Russian nonsense, and decide — are you with Europe or with Putin!
If Putin keeps sending drones over NATO countries, European leaders must close the skies over Ukraine to any Russian flying object.
No more excuses or fears!
Europe must stop deluding itself. Whatever will happen — will happen! The question is whether Europe will be prepared when it does.
Putin’s Russia will not be stopped by appeasement or half-measures.
He must be shown clearly: the price of continuing down this road must be unbearably high. And the road he is on leads to an abyss.
Principles are true principles only if you are ready to defend them, fight for them, and even die for them! Otherwise, they are declarations as fragile as cobwebs on a cannon’s muzzle.
And finally — Bulgaria must activate its instinct for self-preservation and finally realize that the No.1 enemy to its very existence today is Putin’s Russia. The worst that can happen to us as a state is to fall into the bloodstained hands of the Kremlin cannibal.
