A dramatic trend in the West since the beginning of this century is the severing of the direct link between Politics and Science. Namely, this relationship was one of the colossally effective resources of Western democracies.
Security science has long studied self-organizing criticalities – systems which are
complex,
dynamic,
subject to the so-called Power Law,
associated with a series of bifurcation points (i.e. turning points, points of complex choices and sometimes absolutely mutually exclusive scenarios).

ON THE BROKEN LINK BETWEEN POLITICS AND SCIENCE IN THE WEST
THE ALTERNATIVE TO THE WEST – BECOMING THE NORTH
So far, only a superficially stated thesis. Argumentation – some other time.
I always thought that the West had an alternative scenario for adapting to post-bipolar times, namely to become the North. Or at least the supporting structure of the North.
To clarify, the directions of the geopolitical compass are as follows:
The West is democratic countries.
The East is undemocratic countries.
The North is rich countries.
The South is poor countries.
STUDIES ON SECURITY: STUDY 23. EVOLUTION OF UNDERSTANDING OF (ATTITUDES TOWARDS) RISKS OVER CENTURIES
These Studies on Security contain only the results of my scientific views, research, analyses and models. In other words, they provide a SUMMARY of my MAJOR contributions to the Science of Security.
STUDY 23. EVOLUTION OF UNDERSTANDING OF (ATTITUDES TOWARDS) RISKS OVER CENTURIES
The change in the attitude of society and individuals towards risks from ancient times to the present day is discussed.
RUSSIA IS THE BIGGEST THREAT TO THE EXISTENCE OF BULGARIA
My friend, when someone says:
- What is written for a person, that will be!
answers:
- Yes, what is written to a person, that will be, but it is very important how he will read what is written to him, especially between the lines!
It's the same with countries...
What is written to Bulgaria, that will be, but it is very important how she will read what is written to her, especially between the lines!
SEVEN STRATEGICALLY IMPORTANT AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ASYMETRIES BETWEEN RUSSIA AND UKRAINE
First, a somewhat superficial, undoubtedly formal analogy.
Lately we have had occasion for exciting chess passions. The two beautiful Bulgarian girls, Nurgyul Salimova and Beloslava Krasteva, surpassed themselves and achieved a lot.
Nurgul - at the Women's World Cup tournament in Baku.
Beloslava – at the Girl's World Championship in Mexico.
Both were not favorites in their competitions, because there were female chess players with much more serious ratings.
